Sioux City, Iowa is certainly a town bursting with excitement. This city offers an array of recreational activities like the Belle of Sioux City Casion, the Broadway Series, Grandview Park, Lamb Productions Theatre, and Orpheum Theatre.

 

Shakespeare in the Park, Sioux City Art Center, Sioux City Community Theatre, The Orpheum Theatre, Lamb Productions Theatre and Sioux City Symphony are excellent culturally diverse avenues.

The Sioux City Auditorium houses the USHL Sioux City Musketeers Hockey Team and the NIFL Sioux City Bandits Football Team. The NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship is held here every March. Plus, Sioux City is home to Briar Cliff University and Morningside College.

 

Sioux City’s gaming is exhilarating at Atokad Horse Racing, Argosy Casion, Keno Casino and North Sioux Strip.

 

Sioux City, Iowa is also famous for its ring-necked pheasant, wild turkey, white-tailed deer, fox squirrel and bobwhite quail hunting. Hunters also enjoy the duck and geese found near Big Sioux River, Little Sioux River, Brown’s Lake, Blue Lake and Snyders Bend Lake. These areas also provide fishers with catfish, carp, buffalo, walleye, sauger, largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, northern pike and bullheads.

 

The IBP Ice Center is a safe place for ice skating. Youth also enjoy an evening at Long Lines Family Rec Center. Outtings are also extra special at Sioux City’s local parks, such as Riverside, Bacon Creek, Chris Larsen, Cecilia, Chautaugua, Indian Hills, Leif Erikson and Willie Joe.

 

Golfers venture to the Golf Dome, Covington Links Golf Course, Floyd Park Golf Course, Green Valley Golf Course, Hidden Acres Golf Course, South Ridge Golf Inc, Sun Valley Golf Course, or Whispering Creek Golf Club. Others attend 27 Flags Golf Course.

 

Sioux City, Iowa’s three movie theaters are The Promenade Cinema, Riviera, and Southern Hills 12.  Sioux City receives its news and information from the Sioux City Journal or the Siouxland Newtork and The Weekender.

 

In addition to its exciting attractions, Sioux City offers diving food venues. Chinese lovers dine at China Taste, Hunan Palace Inc., China Pantry, Chinese Chef, Dynasty Restaurant, China One International Buffet,  or King Sea Chinese Restaurant.

Sioux City has great seafood, specially served at the Marina Inn. The area steak houses are Steak Block, Coyote Canyon, Outback, Paddocks by Parks Steakhouse, Main Event Steak House Lounge, USA Steak Buffet, Theo’s Steak House and Lounge, Misty’s Restaurant, and Royal C Steak House and Lounge.

 

Italian is a specialty of Lucianos and Botticelli Ristorante Italiano. Sioux City’s lodging venues include The English Mansion B&B, Best Western City Centre, Comfort Inn, Hamilton Inn, Hilton, Holiday Inn and Rose Hill Inn.
